Founded by Kyle Harbour after more than 15 years in the trade, Revival is built on traditional skills, proper craftsmanship and a belief that some vehicles deserve more than simply being kept on the road.
Kyle began his career through a traditional apprenticeship as a panel beater with BMW, developing his skills across body repair, fabrication and paint. Since then, his work has taken him from accident repair and main-dealer Jaguar Landrover bodyshops to restoration projects and even painting road trains in the Australian outback. It is a background that has created a practical, problem-solving approach to restoration and a meticulous eye for the details that make the finished vehicle feel right.
Revival was born from a desire to step away from the increasingly disposable world of modern vehicles and spend more time working on machines with character, engineering and stories worth preserving.
There is a particular affection for air-cooled Volkswagen and Porsche, alongside the wider VW family. Kyle’s own collection includes a Mk1 Golf Clipper, 1303 Beetle and a T2 Westy, while recent work has included the complete recommissioning of an Alfa Romeo Spider. Motorcycles are equally welcome in the workshop with Kyle owning Harley-Davidsons himself.
The focus is on considered restoration, high-quality bodywork and premium paintwork rather than quick turnaround repairs. Revival is at its best with vehicles that can stay in the workshop long enough for the job to be approached properly — from substantial body and paint projects through to complete restorations.
Smaller repairs and refinishing work are always welcome and undertaken where capacity allows, but the same standard applies regardless of the size of the job.
Every project is treated individually, with the aim of producing the best finished vehicle possible rather than following a predetermined formula.
